I am an Iranian-Canadian visual artist specializing in painting and drawing, with a primary focus on oil painting while also incorporating a diverse range of media. My practice investigates themes of identity, migration, femininity, and the body’s relationship with nature using the human figure. Through my work, I examine the complexities of human existence, where the figure is a vessel that expresses both personal and collective narratives.
My artistic practice is deeply rooted in exploring identity and displacement. As an immigrant, I navigate the tension between belonging and otherness, translating emotional experiences into visual expression. I am particularly drawn to how the human body serves as a repository for memory and transformation, vulnerability and resilience.
